I would want him back because he played brilliant, exciting, attacking football which attracted new fans and got us promoted. If he did the same again and left in a blink I would thank him for what he gave us and wish him well for the future.

As long as the future didn't involve Forest, Mansfield or MK Dons.

That would involve the bros’ admitting they got it wrong and they won’t do that. Even though we’ll fail to get promoted, Maynard will still be here next season boring us to death.

Thing is, MKD would just offer him more money, and that would decide it. Our model requires us to find the next Luke Williams, not the current one.

I'd love him back here though. Anyone using his move to Swansea against him is crazy. He has a family to support and ambitions to achieve.
