The one thing I will say about Williams teams, despite defensive frailties - they never lay down and died and battled till the end.

The current team do, with alarming regularity
    Do they?

I?ve watched most the games home and away (away by stream) and one thing I?ll give them is on the whole they?ve battled till the end most games.
Have they lacked creativity and quality at times? 100% but I wouldn?t say it?s a team that gives up.

You can?t take goals away to take away an achieved promotion.

In the Football League he got us to about 6th I think but in decline. Then got a move two divisions up to Championship and then got sacked.

Big step up. Too big a step especially for a club with such limited finances. He?s not done anything of note since but he was incredible thanks in part to the owners and recruitment in National League. How many points?

He should do, he?s a good fit for MK with their style, he will have a very large budget compared to the rest like he did with us in the National League so would not be a huge surprise.

As for this team I am not sure where you get that conclusion from it is very rare the team has given up. Effort is not the issue with this team

He didn't have a particularly large budget with us in the NL. Said to have been the 8th largest IIRC.

Is that all? I am shocked by that I thought due to names in that league I can?t imagine 7 with more. I would have guessed we were top 5 minimum

Yeah, I'd agree with this. We don't play with enough intensity a lot of the time at home, but I think the issue is more that we don't have enough real quality where it matters. We're currently relying way too heavily on a 37-year-old Didzy to make stuff happen, whereas last season, he was just one of about five players who could make things happen.

We now have junior back and Traore.. and jatta back soon..all to compliment and take the load of Mcgoldrick...hopefully all now match fit ...

Intensity is the key ingredient for promotion. Williams brought it so did Cotterel, Big Sam, Warnock and Sirrel/Wilkinson. You could see it in their eyes.
