WTF - again an occasion where we agree.

PS the please don?t reference was simply everyone gets what you are saying irrespective of whether they agree but there ain?t an awful lot any of us can do about it so suspect most would like to concentrate on Leeds and the run in

Well I suppose that we agree is something. Fact is, as you say, individually there's not much to be done, but collectively? Bankrupting Tesla by dumping stock and either selling or not buying Skums cars? Very possible. Mass movements either under a political party banner or perhaps more telling, simply the people coming together to oppose autocracy and technocratic dictatorship, we can but hope.

The chimp needs to be taught that the phrase "of the people, by the people, for the people" still has meaning and it doesn't refer to those who have their tongues furthest up the chimps a55hole.

I vote we concentrate on the run in.
It’s far more important than the end of the world.
Maybe the Rev will even get his leg over the Aldi check out counter.

Not wanting to dull the enthusiasm, really and honestly, for what the football goes may deliver, but Shankly wasn't correct, football isn't life or death, the future of Ukraine and the rest of Europe (including these little offshore rocks) is, as per the thread title.

Acknowledgement of a wrong isn't anywhere near enough, and from the days of the founding fathers that has been true.

Resistance against oppression, domestic or foreign, is a fundamental REQUIREMENT of all those who see the people's interests being made subservient to the state. Is here anything more blatant to the states oppression of the people than the chimps delegation of responsibility to the Skum and his juvenile cohorts?

Same from me keep punching the lows as the highs are worth it.
Just don't make the kid support Leeds if you don't want them to get grumpy and miserable like us

Last 25 years here have so many examples of shocking behaviour that it seems a little hard to throw stones when our own house is made of glass.

    Iraq War
    Blair
    Brown
    Campbell and the dead scientist
    Expenses scandal
    Covid
Whether your agree with the principle or not how Brexit happened
    Johnson
    Truss
    Starmer
    Reeves
    Farage
    Rotherham grooming scandal
Miliband (how can you be a lapsed Leeds fan - ffs)
    HS2
Successful governments of all persuasions not taking decision to secure energy supply and replace power stations
An unwillingness to tackle the adult social care and health iceberg
    The Scottish lot
    The Welsh lot

The list could go on and on and on and on - many find Trump inappropriate and far worse but he isn?t exactly unique in that when you look closer to home or beyond

There is starting to be a unifying reaction to Trump too - look at what Mark Carney is doing

Maybe the world will ask the US to pay up for the true cost of its folly in Iraq and for funding the gain of function research which most now believe to COVID

What is sad is that when we were younger there was much more of a divide between left and right and their politics but both sides could still debate like adults and treat each other with respect - today - not so much.
