Wishful thinking
Realistically is that the main issue at this point, because none of us know who the next manager will be and whether they will do well or not, it is always a gamble. The issue in front of the club right now is SE is the right man? What are the issues that exist between him and the players, some of them his recruits? (assuming there are issues, but being he says he intends to get rid it can't be all mates) Can we risk letting him have the remaining games?
A few weeks ago Peterborough were on the edge of relegation, now they are above us, we have 3 home games left and tricky away games (our away record is still very poor). We are not safe yet and football is a confidence game and those players lack confidence, and motivation.
It doesn't look like they want to play for him or even listen to him (as we saw in the game today), this season has been shocking and there have been too many games where we have looked like a bottom four team. We have never been in the top half and now we are dropping even lower. It isn't good and he isn't a man that appeals to peoples sympathy when times are hard.
I have no idea what the long term answer is, there have been too many bad decisions by the club since Warne left but I am now convinced the answer isn't Steve Evans, others might have different opinions.
Just seen on X he’s gone. Joe Skarz in charge
