The list could go on and on and on and on - many find Trump inappropriate and far worse but he isn?t exactly unique in that when you look closer to home or beyond

There is starting to be a unifying reaction to Trump too - look at what Mark Carney is doing

Maybe the world will ask the US to pay up for the true cost of its folly in Iraq and for funding the gain of function research which most now believe to COVID

What is sad is that when we were younger there was much more of a divide between left and right and their politics but both sides could still debate like adults and treat each other with respect - today - not so much.
I knew agreement couldn't last long.

All of the matters you refer to are/were bad, that much is without doubt. However none threatened the world in the way that the current US "administration" is. Even if the COVID conspiracy theorists are correct, the virus was an accidental by-product, not the wanton destruction of livelihoods, international relationships forged over hundreds of years and the likely annexation of a modern, 20th century European nation by a totalitarian anti-democratic despot, etc etc etc, all because the chimp has an ego that can never be satisfied and nowhere near the intellectual capability required to handle the responsibility it now has. It IS unique in having the ability and the intent to use what the American electorate foolishly gave it, the White House.

Not trying to compare them or score them just a general comment on how useless all of them can be and that then removes to a large degree the validity of criticism that would otherwise be reasonable and thus why it is futile getting so worked up about it - any hooooo to misquote Daniel

Wonderful news on the addition to be, Totty. You've worked hard at everything you have taken on, so hope it all pans out well for you.

Again, we agree on the generally useless nature of a great many of the supposedly great and good. Where we differ is not just on the need, but the duty to criticise and hold them ALL to account. Without such, chimps like the one currently infesting the White House will run free and unopposed (as they do in Russia, North Korea and other dictatorships), we have monumentally horrific evidence of what that can lead to.

Government should fear it's electorate, not the other way round.

Haha - I was trying to play nice - I have a cycling jacket similar to that one - what do you sail?

Used to sail hobie cats in Spain.
