Good.
Let's be realistic though, this is only papering over the cracks and an awful lot more needs to change at the club for it to move forward.

Thank the f*cking lord!
A Long Long Time Coming - Amen
It?s difficult sometimes when you are in the know!
Matt Hamshaw wasn?t offered the job until the decision to sack Evan?s was taken.
He was however asked if he would take it if it was offered. He gave a positive yes.
It looks like the club has learned from their historical gaffs with managers.
I also learned yesterday about the managers still under the pay of rufc and most have come to an end or will do at the end of the month.
This news has made our weekend even better.
I hope that Matt can prove that he is capable and although he won?t be able to live out his life?s dream of playing the club but it was an ambition of his to manage.
We will hopefully see an upturn in play and attitude from the players.and we can hope that the younger players will feel like they have a future.
Hamshaw in charge
I don't mind Hamshaw been given the chance. He can only go with what he's got get them playing for him more. Next season put himself in the frame to have a go at rebuilding the squad.
I think the club have made the correct decision in letting SE and PR leave, also removing the coaching staff is a solid decision. I think putting in place Hamshaw and Warrington for the rest of the season makes sense, it gives them a chance to prove themselves and it means the club can work in the background to look for alternatives if required.
All he needs to do is to get them playing for the shirt, not long ball all the time, and put a couple of wins on the points total to keep us in L1 and then we reset and go again.
I would like to see TS give RS his director role back and let him make a statement about longer term recruitment and youth development strategy, with a positive statement from Hamshaw on that approach as well. I think the club also needs to look at moving PD into a non-footballing role (commercial director) and bring in a experienced football CEO to work with RS, the manager/coach and the youth set up.
A restructure will benefit the club and in my view allow TS to enjoy seeing what he has done for the town without having to get too involved everyday.
He needed to go but he?s still a club legend imo.
