Why not go balls out and give him the job now?
I don't get this- he has no experience. He has been in football a long time and if he can't manage now- he never will
I can see this going t its up.
Suppose Hammy doesn't turn it around immediately, I can see TS taking ages to appoint a new manager and the pre- season and transfer window getting eaten up
Give it Hammy full time now.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures.
Personal thinks it's a huge risk giving it him short term never mind full time.
it's a bit like bringing in Neil redfern imo. Some peeps are suited to youth/under 21 players. Others are lower league managers. Some are top notch man managers.
I've always seen hamshaw in the youth managment roll. Wiles always spoke highly of hamshaw though don't recalling his name being mentioned by the senior pros. Though Viktor did speak highly of Warrington and the other keeper coach who went to Preston.
Hammy himself may have wanted it to be to the end of the season.
If Paul Warne gets another managerial job Hammy could probably earn more as his first team coach than we would pay him as manager
Warne has already been offered a job at one of SE old teams. He didn't need long to think about it and turned it down
A good start would be to clear out the dross asap - obvious they dont want to be there , the lump up front who walks around for one - pay him off !
Time will tell but it?s down to the owner where this goes yet again !
