Because they've decided that the opportunity to manage a footy club outweighs the remainder of their gardening leave package?

Warne and Barker were sacked. Hamshaw and Warrington resigned.

Nobody really knows if it is true but the hypothesis is that the first two accepted a payoff whereas the latter two walked away from the job with no payoff.

Another interesting one for you all, have Derby got any decent players who are coming to the end of their contracts this season who won't be offered new contracts and who Hamshaw/Warrington think highly of? That's assuming they get the job full time next season with us.

Warney must have a pretty good agent because allegedly he gets paid the remainder of his contract irrespective of if he gets another job in the meantime word is he’s getting itchy feet and pretty fed up hanging round the house as he doesn’t have many interests outside footy eg doesn’t play golf like a lot of footballers, whether that means he comes back I don’t know but pretty sure he’ll get another job soon

I think Warne is nailed on for the Barnsley job. There must be something in his severance agreement with Derby that prevents him being appointed now so his ex Derby player,Conor Hourihane,is keeping the seat warm for him.

I genuinely wish Matt Hamshaw success but whether he's got the ability to achieve it is another matter. He's never been in the hot seat and let's face it he's just been sacked for being a sidekick to a failure. One thing we should learn, from across the divide, is how Danny Rohl was recruited. We do not need to rush in now. Having recruited several duds on the bounce Mr Stewart needs finally to get the right man. His heart will be telling him Woody but he knows he needs to use his head as well

Hamshaw knows the Rotherham DNA, he's a local lad and worked as First Team Coach under the most successful League One manager we've ever had. As an interim manager he's ideal; whether he's good for the long term will be determined by how he acquits himself over the remainder of the season.

The most interesting thing for me will be the reaction of the players. I always considered the individual team members were better than the team that Evans put together and that because of his appalling leadership and his antiquated tactics, players were not able to play to their full potential.

I'm expecting a massive improvement in effort and quality. Any player who fails to come up to snuff can do one!

You never know with Tony Stewart. He needs to fill those seats next season so will it be the likes of Captain Fantastic? Will Hammy start to produce something so good he gets the job permanently?
