Whitaker got off to a great start at Notts, scored a crucial couple of goals and looked a real threat.
Then he had an alarming dip. It was more than just a bad couple of games, because I've rarely seen a player so frequently dispossessed and muscled off the ball and this threw his whole game off.
Since then, I believe the coaching staff must have stepped in to help him out, adding to his own resolve. Teams would've been targeting this but we got him back on track and he's an important player for us - the type that could score a winner in a play-off game. Credit to Charlie and the coaches,
