Looking at our statement and getting snippets from other clubs too, it?s clear (even more so with each passing year) that football is well and truly messed up. How can teams be ?celebrating? getting their losses down from many, many millions to many millions? It?s insanity. Teams spending beyond their means to get promoted to get to a division where their costs are so high it means they lose even more money.

I?ve been thinking for a few years that it?s got to end all this madness yet it keeps getting even more ridiculous.

On a related note, I see Wednesday haven?t paid their players for March. Early (incredibly early!) bird season tickets must have gone well then?

As you and Animal have said Nerf, it's a car crash waiting to happen - not just for Barnsley but for many other clubs and football itself. Players and agents pricing themselves out of work through greed. I have a lot of sympathy with Neerav given the market conditions that he's operating in. I believe hd wants to do well for us but he probably also realises that he shouldn't break the bank to do so. And I agree it would be insanity to borrow vast amounts to keep up with other clubs. If something doesn't change soon there will be more clubs facing administration.
