meeting friends. Getting away from the norm. Watching a game of football enjoying a beer.
I was chatting to a mate a few days back (before Evans got sacked) who's had enough. Not coming again. I asked. Ok what did you do last Saturday (international weekend). He thought for a few seconds and said "I don't know".
My reply. And what were you doing the Saturday before (Wycombe home game). His reply. Watching this sh?te.
Back to your original post "we are what we are" and some need to accept we won't be anything else. No matter how much we complain
Good points well made Cayton.

Some contributors on here allude to something happening behind the scenes with Warne and TS that will prevent Warne coming back. I have no idea what happened but what I do know is that when Warne went to Derby he was our biggest asset. As I say, he was starting to get it right, we were playing well, his personality was a hit with the wider media and his achievements on a small budget got him noticed. So as you point out, naturally we lost him to a bigger and better set up. The same has happened with any players who's careers flourished at Rotherham, they get noticed and move on to bigger, better and more money.

So you're right, very fine margins indeed and a few seasons competing at tier 2 level probably is our ceiling and always will be unless there is a vast infrastructure change. But for all his faults, when TS is finally ready to throw the towel in and sell up, we have to be careful what we wish for. For every Ryan Reynolds looking for an expensive hobby, there's potentially a Steve Dale (Bury chairman when they folded).

I for one would dearly miss the match day experience, whether that be in the Championship or the Vanarama North.
