Could have gone in 3-0 at half-time against a poor Northampton team. Second goal killed it off, something we've regularly failed to do.
Strong gritty defending, a few of the dark arts that other teams have been using on us.
Looking forward to Saturday and a bigger challenge. Well done Matt!!

Good start, much improved. First half was very good, first twenty minutes of second half looked like Northampton were getting back into the game with a spell of pressure but we rode it out and killed the game off with second goal.
Dawson played well, Mpanzu had a decent game overall, Nombe did very well and always good to see him on scoresheet.

Not going to get too excited this early but things just feel instantly better, plenty to build on.

Well done Matt and team. UTM

    Cobblers!

And so, it came to pass we beat a p*ss poor team in the shape of Northampton Town.
    No sh*t Sherlock!
It's gonna take more than last night's win to convince all those Miller's supporters who have been sadly let down by a bunch of players who were allegedly not playing for the previous manager.
The chant of , 'You're not fit to wear the shirt!' at the end of our match against Crawley Town still rings true. Remember that game? We were played off the park.

This current season is drawing to a close and apathy amongst many loyal club supporters appears to be at an all time low.
The novelty/hype regarding the newly appointed caretaker manager will wear off and the blame game will soon kick into gear if we lose another two to three games.
Roll on to the end of this season so we can recruit more under achievers who might be prone to throwing their dolls out of their prams at any given moment.
Whatever happened to due diligence when recruiting players?
What is the long term plan for RUFC?
    Who knows?
    Does anyone care anymore?

And good morning to you too. I don't think anyone thinks last night solved everything.
Yes, Northampton were poor, but we've been losing these kind of matches all season. What it showed was with a little organisation and confidence, we can win theses types of games. A little oasis in a year of unrest
And, by the way, the chanting at the players Saturday was a disgrace. I was ashamed to be a Miller.

I think that you are right in a lot you say but we have to hope that it is a new start and if not we only have until the summer before we begin again.

Anything has to be considered a positive after Evans.

I think Cayton is correct about some of our fans.
