BTW, a win tonight would be the first time since the 2019/2020 season that we won 4 Championship games on the bounce. The first game in that run was against Blackburn and the 4th was v Preston...

There's been no clicking so far at 0-0 in fact it like during the break they've forgotten who eachother are, aimlessly clearing the ball just kicking it for the sake of kicking it, throw in's into a crowd that we never win, I've also seen better ball control from a baby elephant
They were just warming up![]()
Oh ye of little faith!
Unable to watch but never far from an iPad. Very tense - me, don’t know about them - but it seems we have a manager who can deliver a half-time team talk.
Who’d have thought less than a month ago we’d take 12/12 from four matches. First time we’ve won four in a row for about five years apparently.
Can we make it five at Swansea?
Who knows but a point to keep up the unbeaten run would be nice
.. in the Championship. 2 seasons ago we had a 6 game run consisting of 5 League 1 games and a Cup match.
Last night's game?
We had a 1st minute corner from which they nearly scored. Great defensive work from Armstrong. We then got lucky when they were given offside and it wasn't. Opening 20 We were poor. Awful passing, lost every 2nd ball and it looked like it was going to be "one of those nights". Ring rusty? Then we got back into it and had the upper hand for much of the rest of the half. I had to laugh on 25 minutes. As usual when things aren't going to plan, JWZ sat down holding his right foot/ankle. Ref totally ignored him so he got up again, doing his best to appear to be trying to get the foot going again. Started the 2nd half like a whirlwind. 2 goals in 7 minutes. Yates knew little about his but it found the back of the net. Last half hour they were slightly the better side and might have had a penalty with a different ref but Philips got the ball and a corner was the right call.
Great result. Needed as tough games coming up
Yes it was dire, I?ve seen better walking my dog round Etwall top field on a Sunday afto. For all the past plaudits, Adams looked like it was my footballing brain in his body. BUT fair play to the youngest (fantastic chase back in the third minute) and oldest (what a turn and shot!) on the pitch for making the key contributions on a happy night
