Looking at the teams in the mix, I think it will be a bigger achievement to qualify for the champions league this season.

Chelsea fans are not confident of finishing above us from all the social media channel chats I've listened to.

They have 7 games between now and when we face them on the 10th of May, 9 matches if/when they make the semis of the Euro Conference.

They play Legia Warsaw 10th & 17th of April. The semi last season took place on the 1st & 8th of May

Newcastle v Chelsea is on the 10th of May.

This will be shifted to the Sunday the 11th I would presume when Chelsea beat Warsaw. So, Chelsea will play 9 games before we face them. On average the blues play a game every 4 days.

We have 6 games in the same time period, a game every 6 days on average. We have a full week to train and prepare for the match.

IF the 2nd leg is away from home they'll be flying back from the match against the winner of SK Rapid in Wein/Vienna or Djurgårdens IF Fotbollsförening in Stockholm.

They have a lot of football to play before they face us.

It is a 6 pointer and a match I fully believe based on our record at home against Chelsea, us being a bogey team at SJP for them that a match we should win.

    The run in

this weekend could see clear daylight between us and the chasing pack for a European spot.

If Forest beat Villa and we beat Leicester, will see us 5 points ahead of Villa in 7th place and we will also have a game in hand.

I can also see Chelsea dropping points away to Brentford and the Manc derby is anyones guess especially with Haarland out for 7 weeks.

By Monday night (results falling our way) could see us in 4th place with 8 games to go and a game in hand

Good points. This weeks matches, Derby weekend

    Saturday:

The Midlands Derby. The old rivalry. Forest and Villa hate each other. Forest will defend well and nick a late winner.

    Villa 1 v 2 Forest

The M23 Derby. Another, far more plastic derby. No love lost between these two though. Palace at home should edge it or

    Palace 2 v 1 Brighton

    Sunday

The Lesser west London Derby Bee's v Pensioners. Brentford have been better on the road than at home of late but Chelsea are just awful. Lord knows how they are in the mix for the UCL. Shows how this season has seen a lot of teams have become more competitive and seen mid-table teams beat the cartel lot. Chelsea don't score a lot.

    Brentford 1 - 1 Chelsea

    The Manchester Derby

City should win but you never know in the derby. I one breath I hope City slaughter the filth, I want City and Newcastle to finish 4th / 5th. Doesn't matter which position we finish in as long as we qualify.

    Man City 3 v 1 Man Filth

Vila 2 v 1 Forest - got the score right just the wrong way round

The result puts Villa ahead of us but we have 2 games in hand with us facing The Villans in Aston for a big 6 pointed. I'm confident we'll finish ahead of them.

Palace 2 v 1 Brighton - got this one spot on!

Brighton are as good as out of it. We're away to Brighton a fortnight after the Villa match.

Win both games in hand and we are 1 point behind Forest.

Beat Arsenal at the Emirates and also the scousers beat them, then we are equal with Arsenal.

Still got a lot of games left, nearly 25% of a season? so am sure there?ll be some surprises and possible injuries before the end of the season, but with nearly a week between all games (apart from the Palace mid-week catch up game), no distractions apart from the league, and the confidence winning something brings.

I?m not even ruling out finishing 2nd, but think 3rd or even 4th is very much on the cards.

We are in a very good position although I'm very much aware that we are an Isak injury away from having zero threat up front.

I had to check the league table. Didn't realise Arzenal were just 5 points head of Forest. Interesting point...

We've got everything in our hands and that is exactly the way Eddie, Maddog and the boys like it!
