    Swansea v Derby

    Swansea v Derby Sat 5 April 15:00
Derby are the visitors tomorrow in what is being billed as a six pointer.
After four straight wins their confidence will be high so we need to be at our best for this one.
John Eustace was appointed head coach on 13 Feb with Derby in the bottom three and without a win in 11 games.
The next day they lost 4-0 at QPR. Two more defeats followed, a 0-1 home defeat to Millwall and a 1-0 away defeat at Middlesbrough. The winning streak started with a 2-1 home win v Blackburn, then a 2-0 home win v Coventry, a 3-2 away win v Plymouth and a 2-0 home win v Preston on Wednesday night.
The Swans should also be full of confidence after their battling draw at high flying Leeds last Saturday and will be the fresher of the two teams with no midweek match.
    Let the battle commence.

    Swansea 1 (Eom 79’) - Derby 0
Not a classic, in fact it was poor football but we won that’s the main thing.
Derby worked very hard closing us down but one lapse in concentration cost them the points.
We just couldn’t get going today and at times it was hard to distinguish which side was the home team.
It all ended well though and one game at a time it’s on to Plymouth, who beat Norwich 2-0 today, game on.

Derby unlucky not to get anything from this match. They shut us out and by half time we hadn’t had a shot on target and fans were getting restless. Eom's strike late second-half was the first real chance and gratefully accepted.
A big Derby following made sure of a good atmosphere but it was a hard watch for football purists, the ball more in the air than on the ground.
Still, Swans fans went home happy in the sunshine with a win, three points in the bag and a big step nearer to safety.

Playing 5-3-2 to match Derby?s formation was so negative and an awful tactical approach, especially at home, having three shots in the whole game was hard to watch for Swans fans. Horses for courses was Sheehan?s thinking and thankfully it worked out in the end - just, and we got the win. When we switched to 4-2-3-1 we were much better and started creating chances. One match to forget my friends. For all the criticism from the keyboard warriors on the Swans forums today just remember all that mattered at the end of the day was the three points on the board and a big step nearer to safety and we achieved that.
