    Any truth in this?

    Seen a suggestion that we've narrowed the pitch by up to 6 feet on either side in order to make it easier for Elder with his long throws.

    Of course, if that's so, the oppo's long throw merchant will also be helped.

    Just had a look at the PNE highlights video and the off pitch area on the West Stand side is devoid of grass which would point to one of two things. Either the pitch hasn't been narrowed OR it was done several games ago.

    I am fairly sure you cant change the size mid season.

    These grass/plastic composite pitches have an expected lifespan of 10 years. Ours was laid in the summer of 2015. It's knackered because it's designed to be exactly that after 10 years. New 1 being laid this summer and I expect us to have a crap pitch in 2035 unless technology has helped produce 15 year pitches...

    No. The plans are in place to lay a new one this summer, starting after the Stoke game.
