Would have prefered to rest Tonali ahead of the weekend.

I'm guessing Eddie's message was keep it tight and save some energy so I'm not to worried about our approach.

3 points and something left in the legs for the next game. Job done.

No doubt we took our foot off the gas and probably right too.
Isak, Tonali and Bruno looked fine and Joelinton avoided a yellow and so plays against ManU. With Willock and Gordon coming back, we should have a better bench going forward.

    In a word 'Professional'.

We beat them in the first 20 mins. Dead and buried at 0-2. Got the 3rd to put the nail in the coffin and called it a day.

They rallied in the 2nd half but still toothless. For the first time during that match I have PTSD on behalf of Leicester fans. The way they played was awful, clueless, incompetent. It made me think of being Pardew'd or back the Cabbage Ball era.

I was chatting with a buddy during the match and we both agreed how nice it is to not be 'that club' anymore.

To not feel the rage and humiliation, the embarrassment and humiliation of watching 11 players put in a half a$$ed attempt at a performance.

We are in a beautiful situation these days. Whilst we are enjoying it I genuinely believe we are all underestimating just how fortunate we are!

WE ARE WINNERS again for a long time in our history of being a joke, a punchline of a club.

I personally have such a debt of gratitude to the owners, the board for hiring Eddie, The manager himself & the players for their determination and professional attitude they bring to the fight every day on behalf of us fans, the club & the City restoring our pride and dignity in our beloved club.

    HOWAY THE LADS!

WE ARE UNITED, WE ARE NEWCASTLE!

    A great result.

But it was one of those games that in the past we would have dropped points in by just not turning up ourselves.

As bad as Leicester were, we still had a job to do and did it to perfection in that first half.

Second half was all about no injuries, no suspensions and no conceding.

The commentary was all about how bad Leicester was, how they haven?t scored In over 12 hours of football, how they?ve conceded 20+ goals with no reply.

Usually I?d be fuming it was all about Leicester as if Newcastle were just there to make up numbers.

But Leicester were THAT bad they deserved the limelight 😆 and Newcastle in the end, weren?t exactly shining bright? we essentially did just turn up to make up the numbers 😆

Yep, it was 'job done' last night.

Given how pivotal this Summer will be if we can get Champions League, 3 points and no injuries or suspensions was the only real aim once we were comfortably ahead.

Eddie Howe gave his reasoning for this. Willock was rested because of recent concussion, following is quote.

"The star was not risked for tonight's game and the injury is not believed to be serious, Willock went down in the Brentford after falling awkwardly after a collision. The absence meant that Howe was forced to name two keepers on the bench with Martin Dubravka and John Ruddy travelling to the East Midlands."

The rumour mill is rife with stories of Dubz to Celtic and Pope to Leeds.

No idea what's happening with the Greek Lad. Ruddy & Dizzy Gillespie are both out of contract in the summer.

We've been again liked to the hopeless lad at Southampton. As well as the 'certainly gonna sign' Trafford from Burnley.

I'll believe it all when I see it.

Big summer of recruitment ahead that's for sure!
