The time it takes etc is the problem. It has been great for offside decisions especially.

    It?s here to stay.
Far far too many decisions only made when it suits two teams. While other teams ALL get shafted.

I think back to the early days of var when we got shafted by var penalty decisions at Livingston ?

And R.McRorie getting sent off very early doors at Pittodrie v St Mirren when one of ther CH bodychecked him ?

How mucg trust would have had in prior to var , if there was var in play when GMS got flattened by a Celtic CH in that final, and no penalty, not even a foul to us as he was stretchered off ?? They will only look at " contentious " events if it benefits the cheeks.

And taking 5 minutes to decde on an offside ? Feck off !!!

Here's a random thought and my point of view.
If VAR cannot make a decision within 60 seconds of viewing the "case" then it most certainly is not a clear and obvious case and the referees on-field instant decision (whatever that decision was) should stand. I think a simple ruling like that would also go someway to reducing the blatant corruption that is clear and fcukin obvious and exists blatantly in our game today.
But hey ho what the fk do I know I am just plain and simple dude that tries to make life as simple as it can be

Do actually think that a time limit on VAR calls would be a decent result

    VAR has two roles
1, providing an additional opportunity to disallow an Aberdeen goal .
2, providing an additional opportunity to send off an Aberdeen player
It takes longer as it can take a while to invent the required spurious justification.

    Really?

We've had some bad decisions, but I don't think it has f*cked us over too much.

We really don't want to go down the road of cheek paranoia.

Like I said on here when it was first mooted. VAR isn't the actual issue. It's the BITB, either on the pitch or VAR duty that is the main issue. Having the yellow label version of it doesn't help either.

For the record, I don't like VAR.

    Hear hear
And not random, pretty sure we all have the exact same thought.

Interpretation laws subjective, we all see things differently so it’s pointless. Not cut and dried like other sports.
Automated system for offside fair enough, the rest - get it in the bin.

Call me a cynic, but I wonder if under that scheme when there was a VAR investigation into a call against the hun, it might just result with Andrew dallas or one of the other huns sitting with his feet up for 59 seconds then reporting it's taking too long.

Wouldn't call you a cynic at all mate, actually you are just being a realist.
And here was a simple man like myself thought I had come up with a great idea, but it is clear and obvious that I have not fully thought this through (you see what I did there)
