Just a personal view ( with no claim to know insiders, whisperers, stable boys or moles) but I think that Hamshaw and Warrington have already been given the full time positions and that the stand in statement was just to keep the grumbling fans quiet.

As for Evans, well what a balls up he made of the job, so here we are with two hopefuls

I hope they do well and it’s been a terrific start for them but a few defeats might have our fans sticking them blindfold against the wall

If took on full time they are in a similar position to that Paul Warne found himself in. Not regarded as a real manager, same chairman, same set up at the club, dodgy training facilities and as far as we know a similar transfer situation. Most would be happy with a similar managerial success for our two new guys.

Truth be told Grist, that represents the pinnacle of what's possible under the current regime.

And any other regime unless we find a lunatic that is in a position to throw loads of cash at the club

We aren?t an attractive proposition are we?

    And therein lies the problem.

On the upside, at least this particular bus isn't being driven by the likes of Chansiri...

They’ve had a solid start though, and I hope fans give them a fair shot even if we hit a rough patch. Like you said, Warne was in almost the exact same spot and ended up doing alright, all things considered. It’s a tough gig, but maybe that familiarity with the club and its limitations gives them a better shot than someone new walking into it blind
