This previously happened in the 1975-76 season when we were relegated as a result of Ayr United winning against the odds at Parkhead
Nah we were relegated because we couldn?t beat Ayr even once that season , and because rangers played their game in hand against the dabs with 4 players on Scotland duty , jock Wallace was offered to postpone the game but said he had faith in his youngsters and played out a draw which meant we went down

Greater Glasgow area clubs you say and you include Kilmarnock in that. Kilmarnock is in Ayrshire, It never has been or ever will be Greater Glasgow. As you often say to posters do your homework and research.

Kilmarnock is close to Glasgow with lots of people in the town supporting either Rangers or Celtic instead of their local football team.

But it is not a Greater Glasgow area club as you claimed in post number 10 of this thread.

Perth is closer to Dundee, than Kilmarnock is to Glasgow.

The road connection between Kilmarnock and Glasgow is superior to the road connection between Perth and Dundee.
The M77 motorway runs from the centre of Glasgow to Fenwick just short of Kilmarnock when it becomes the A77 dual carriageway.
Meanwhile the Perth to Dundee road is only a dual carriageway.

I don't think there's any way you can win this one Islay, best biting the bullet and backing down.

He would really go up in my opinion if he said, OK. I will give this up! Not a likely response, given past form. However it is interesting to see what happens next!
