As bad as Ardleys style was at times, we forget the amount of timed players hit one from 20 or 25 yards. Slow slow for sure but we weren't afraid to hit it when needed either, and Wootton knew how to make it stick when it got to him. The last few weeks we have looked like a team short of ideas and unwilling to shake it up.

Whilst for most parts of the season I?ve been a bit 50-50 on Maynard and always questioned if he has the xfactor to lead players to say a title seems a stretch.

That said at what point do you question the players? On the whole they seem to get somewhat of a free pass and it?s gets laid at Maynard?s feet.

I don?t buy the rubbish it?s solely down to him to motivate them. Their professional footballers and it should be their own drive and pride to go and win their individual battles and not to mention the 10k of people who have turned up to support them in doing so.

Interesting week for the owners, do they roll the dice and go for LW who seems the obvious choice with the play offs looming. That said did he actually get a tune out of the team in the playoffs? I think we were slightly the better team in both games but far from convincing but ultimately we got over the line.

    Decision time?

For me get rid of Maynard and give the job on a temp basis to Williams then decide at the end of season where to go ?

If we dont get promoted I cant see Maynard staying in the job anyway and at thus moment the chances of us getting promoted are about zero.
