Matchday thread: Rams v Stoke, May 3rd 2025

A tad premature maybe but this is another one heading for a sell out crowd. Just 185 left.

It's not impossible that this could be a must win game to survive. I think we'd all love to be safe by then as finger nails would be down to the quick otherwise. Grandstand finish to the season, 3 points and we're still in the Championship next season.

7 of us coming over for this one.

It would be nice to condemn the oatcake eaters to League 1 and derbies against Port Vale whilst saving ourselves at the same time - but I'd sooner they were safe by then and give us an easy 3 we may well need

If they're safe they might just relax and benefit from not being under pressure

So, after tonight’s thrashing Bristol City are left looking over their shoulder at four clubs who could overhaul them and their place in the playoffs next weekend.
Good news for us I hope and bad news for Preston, but hopefully we can do it without any help from the three ex Rams in Brizzle.
For the third week running, got a good feeling and again no predictions because it’s worked for WBA and Hull.

Up at 4 Friday to catch the EasyJet ride to Brum, Train to Derby getting in at 0936. Drop bags off at the hotel and then off to the Neppy. Up early Satdeh. Babington for Breakfast. Neppy, Brunswick and then up to the ground for 2. 3 points and all's well that ends well. Back to the Neppy via an eating house of some description and maybe a pub or two. Sunday, Bab for brekkie, Neppy then the Brunny for Sunday lunch. 1640 train back to the airport, pie and a pint there and then homewards, fully content and looking forward to another season of Championship football. Football away days are a thing of beauty.

Fully content in terms of belly I'm sure but you're counting them chickens again in terms of DCFC!! 🤔
