'Jack Lankester has undergone successful surgery on a knee ligament injury.
The forward, who suffered the injury at Bradford City on April 5, had the operation to repair a tear in a meniscus in his right knee.
It means that Lankester's first season at Crewe Alexandra, which featured seven goals and six assists in 16 League Two starts, is now over.
Lankester, who penned a three-year deal with the Club last summer, said: ?I?ve been here before and I?m ready to come back again, stronger than ever.? '
Hope all goes well for him, will be a big loss between now and the end of the season
