I do wonder how the younger (under 17s) fans are coping seeing classmates who previously claimed to support Liverpool/Man City suddenly taking an interest in Fword or - if they have classmates who are long term Fworders - seeing them now giving it large.

Them being successful is a test of loyalty that previous generations of Notts fans have mostly failed. They haven't won anything yet, so maybe it's not THAT bad at the moment, but if history repeats itself and they have a sustained period of doing well whilst we tread water, then we've probably got roughly 2/3 seasons of those who came on board over Wrexham and Wembley starting to drift away followed by a collapse the moment we have a bad season.

I expect some younger siblings will now opt to support Fword rather than Notts whilst their older Notts supporting brothers and sisters will start to realise it's just going to be pain for the most part and potentially give up.

I keep saying it, but if you take this level of support we've got now for granted, you risk losing it and then never getting it back. Especially when factoring in what's happening over the river.

    I agree 100% UTM.
These are exactly the experiences that I went through as a kid and it was very, very hard.
I hope not, but we could be languishing in League 2 for several seasons whilst Florist are entertaining the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus etc etc.
I am gradually being convinced that the playing style demanded by the owners is not appropriate for League 2 unless they are prepared to put the money in for players who are good enough to cope with low blocks or very high presses. Even if we manage to squeak promotion, most of the current squad are not good enough for League 1. Not fast enough, strong enough or skilful enough.
For the sake of our younger supporters and the future of the club we need promotion this season somehow. We all need to get down the Lane and hopefully Wembley and "Give it large". Worry about owners, managers and players next season.

Agree completely. Boring football coupled with losses and getting nowhere will help a fair few floating supporters think twice about attending.

I would say definitely no, but what a problem or concern to have. How many other clubs would love to have worry or be asked that question?

Who honestly thought we would be worried that Notts County FC attendances, whilst in the fourth tier, might or likely to drop below 10k?

If they drop to 5-6k then we are back where we started, where we are used to. I can?t see it happening any time soon.

We should have no right to be getting these fantastic attendances all things considered but I know the reasons why we are

We all need to support Stuart & the team. If it weren't for Stuart, Notts would be no where near the playoffs with all the injuries that Notts have suffered. They should pin a medal on Maynard for keeping Notts in the playoff race.
All this nonsense about replacing the Head Coach is NOT helping the team at this critical point of the season.

Not sure the team looks at this forum.

It has a rebuilt goalkeeper and back line that everyone agrees has been excellent. Two wing backs who won promotion last season. A nominee for the divisions young player of the year in midfield. The second and third leading goalscorers in the league in attack. The divisions player of the year from last season occasionally.

There are very few, possibly no, other squads in League Two this season that can match that amount of proven quality across the pitch. Maybe Port Vale, maybe MK (lol).
I was saying that our squad would not be good enough for League 1 and it appears not really for League 2.
2 wing backs who were refused new contracts when Crawley went up. Perhaps they can go back there next season. Our captain isn?t playing as we know he can. We have no playmaker. RCB played by a young lad (who let?s face it is no right sided Bedeau) or an extremely left sided back up to Bedeau having to fill in. A January signing who hasn?t really turned up yet. A couple of young lads still learning the ropes. We sold Nemane and Crowley and didn?t get a replacement for either. And as you say the best player in League 2 only able to play occasionally.

Collectively we are not good enough to beat the low block or the high press. We do not have enough players of the right quality.
We all know that the club want to be sustainable and that is admirable but the consequence is that we collectively are not quite good enough.

Gordon and Tsaroulla were both offered new contracts at Crawley, they turned them down to come here. Presumably because we pay more.
