BUT if he foesnt get us promoted then I'm sorry to say I think the club will need a fresh start for next season.
In - if we get promotion
Out - if we fail to get in the play off places
Shake it all about - if we get to the play off finals and lose.?
These are the key questions. I agree that the poll is nonsense right now - you have to see how it all plays out this season.

The owners are difficult to read or predict. We've seen them sack a manager - Ardley, and keep a manager - Maynard last season. Assuming they want to be rational and fair, what threshold is SM at with his job?

No play-offs, no job. Surely they wouldn't let SM blow a 3rd season. Twice is enough.
But I think the last 4 matches have cost SM a lot of leeway. Now I think a play-off semi final exit will see him gone too.

Even a clear defeat in the final might lose him his job. Only promotion or an heroic fail in the final might be good enough for him to stay now. That'd be my guess.

I've seriously doubted our playoff chances for weeks. In a bldy awful league, Notts are simply not good enough, and eventually your competitors must pick up points. How much is Maynard to blame for the players poor efforts at both ends of the pitch? Williams was doing as bad if not worse.

The owners seem to be the very opposite of the "You had your chance and blew it, next please!" approach, so it seems likely SM is here to stay - for the time being at least.

This ^^^. In the incredibly unlikely event that we do secure promo, meh, he deserves to stay. Other than promo, out............

Out now, and give someone else a chance of getting us through the play-offs

Out if we don't get promoted. Simples.

That was the goal for this season, by hook or by crook.

Out at the end of the season.
How on earth are we failing to get promotion from this awful division. Reez are gonna be in for a real shock when crowds drop to 6,000 next season.

Time to see what someone different can do with this club.

    Out now.
Even if we get promoted, I?d still want better than him. I believe we?ve got our current position (eg high enough to be possible playoffs) despite him, not because of him.

No point sacking him now. If he falis in playoffs or doesn't get in the playoffs a MASSIVE YES to sacking as soon as possible. Over to you, Plonker.
