All this despite losing the league's leading scorer before the season started being without the PFA player of the year through injury most of the season, losing an influential midfielder in January all Maynard's fault I guess. Now lets look at the division's experienced Manager/coaches, Paul Cook,Mark Hughes,Dan Cowley,Simon Weaver,Michael Flynn, Lee Bell,David Artell,Andy Woodman and Graham Alexander all vastly experienced and all finishing below the Magpies in the league this season. Maynard has kept the Magpies in a play off position for allmost the full season and might still achieve promotion this season so please consider these facts before you call for his head like him or not he's by no means the worst manager in the division.

...now Swale, don't upset the hang'em mob, you'll make the spineless idiots cry, have an even bigger tantrum because those that really know about the players, rightly, don't give a flying f about their opinion. The truth is that, given all the circumstances of players fitness, experience and capabilities, we've over achieved.
We do know that we're capable of winning away at the Thugs; but who knows if we'll be given a fair chance...

So it's all down to the players that will get us promoted not Maynard but it won't be the players fault if we fail?
Maynard will be going nowhere if by some miracle we do get promoted imo.

Unfortunately TheBlackHorse, the Reedtz disagree with you that we?ve overachieved. We were well behind the target they set SM after our defeat at Port Vale. We finished a long, long way off, and therefore we have underachieved.

    Sorry to ruin your narrative.

    What was the target ?

I’m not sure you can really set targets in sport as so many factors can change the dial but if he has failed to hit the targets then why is he still employed ?

Agree, the hang'em and flog them mob, used to hang around Market Squares. Now they lurk around on message boards baying for blood. Probably start crying if someone tried to get them sacked in their own life.
Stuart Maynard has achieved the best finish in 7/8 years, and if he doesn't get promotion this year, he's superbly positioned for next season.

    What a ridiculous hysterical post.
People get sacked from their jobs for not meeting standards expected of them in all walks of life. How many Football League managers have found themselves homeless after being given the push? It's a well paid position and they know it's likely to end sooner rather than later.
    Get a grip.
