All of Maynards were at a higher level. Conversely he took us into a play off spot, not a relegation spot.!!
Ardley didn't get a full season in the league. Had to work with someone else's squad then struggled to get players he wanted in Jan due to the position we were in. Definitely wasn't an Ardley fan but compare equally

Maynard is at a 41.4% loss rate...

And before anyone argues the time, Ardley had 108 games, Maynard has had 70...
Now tell us the division each coached us in please ?

Of course Ardley was better he flat track bullied PT teams for 2 years.

Lets get things nice and fair shall we.

Maddogslater - may I ask what supporters are if they are not customers? I am genuinely interested in your answer.

Clearly, we all have a strong emotional tie to the club, but we also all pay to attend matches and buy merchandise/club subscriptions and the like. Surely that makes us consumers?

Haven?t they already sold 6000 season tickets?

I bang on about Williams but he made players better, he turned Chicken from a left back to a free scoring wing back, Maynard played a left footed wing back who prefers to attack on the right nullifying his effectiveness and making us weak in the wing defensively... I'll let you decide who that player was but there are several correct answers. It's not injuries that cost us automatic promotion
I don't think it's Maynard playing Jodi on the right. I think it's Jodi wanting to play on the right and Maynard not being up to telling him he cant. He is ineffective on the right. His assists came playing balls into the corridor of uncertainty, early when the space is there. By the time inverted wing backs have cut back that space is gone. Jones wants to play there to score more goals.

This is exactly right. Nick Tsaroulla was also ineffective on the ?wrong side. Add to that McDonald at RWB when his right foot is just for standing on. This tactical set up is the reason we created less and less going forward as the season went on, and also led to mistakes and giving the ball away cheaply which led to defensive head in hands moments.

That is - in a nutshell - the reason we threw away the 6 or 7 points that would have guaranteed promotion in the top 3. Maynard has to look in the mirror and accept responsibility for that and if he is the HC going into 25/26 do things differently.

    NOTE:

I've merged several similar 'anti-Maynard' style threads under this one to save having to wade through multiple inherently similar threads. Can we all please try to keep the 'Maynard out' etc. posts under this thread? Ta!

Hopefully soon we'll have clarity on whether he is staying or going!
