    Somethings afoot. My has Maynard been given no support since the Saunders left? In fact why did the Saunders leave? That seems to be the defining moment this season to me.

    As it stands he has to go and I suspect that decision was made months ago when the Saunders left and no one was brought in to assist Maynard.

    I do think the replacing (or indeed non replacing) of both DC and the Saunders? are key moments in the season.

    Alves was promoted, fair enough, but it would be interesting to know who drove the seeming lack of obvious replacement for them.

    I still stand firm in the opinion that Notts are not that far off being what we want them to be. It feels as though Maynard could do with another brain to consult. Someone who might think a bit differently and give him food for thought.
