Them being successful is a test of loyalty that previous generations of Notts fans have mostly failed. They haven't won anything yet, so maybe it's not THAT bad at the moment, but if history repeats itself and they have a sustained period of doing well whilst we tread water, then we've probably got roughly 2/3 seasons of those who came on board over Wrexham and Wembley starting to drift away followed by a collapse the moment we have a bad season.

I expect some younger siblings will now opt to support Fword rather than Notts whilst their older Notts supporting brothers and sisters will start to realise it's just going to be pain for the most part and potentially give up.

I keep saying it, but if you take this level of support we've got now for granted, you risk losing it and then never getting it back. Especially when factoring in what's happening over the river.
I agree 100% UTM.
These are exactly the experiences that I went through as a kid and it was very, very hard.
I hope not, but we could be languishing in League 2 for several seasons whilst Florist are entertaining the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus etc etc.
I am gradually being convinced that the playing style demanded by the owners is not appropriate for League 2 unless they are prepared to put the money in for players who are good enough to cope with low blocks or very high presses. Even if we manage to squeak promotion, most of the current squad are not good enough for League 1. Not fast enough, strong enough or skilful enough.
For the sake of our younger supporters and the future of the club we need promotion this season somehow. We all need to get down the Lane and hopefully Wembley and "Give it large". Worry about owners, managers and players next season.
