I was one of a few who was absolutely genuinely gutted for Dike when he injured his Achilles the second time around. Let?s not beat around the bush, there were some on here who said the club should get rid. Where as others offered support and said let him mend, give him time etc.

I suspect he is suffering mentally as well as physically and would not want the same outcome as the last time. That is totally understandable.

Back to Tony Mowbray?s comments. It was unprofessional perhaps, however, to be absolutely fair, it was some fans, some posters on here and on other forums and some at games that were calling for Dike to be given more game time. It was those same people who were saying that Lankshear should be played up front and god knows how many other options.

Think about it for one moment. Given the injuries along with the governing way the club insists the game is played, was it Mowbray who failed because he was not up to the task or the players because they are not up to the suggested model and unable to play the way the club wanted. Let?s be honest that model has not inspired many of us so far. Add to that the one of the only player who could score was injured.

I am not a qualified football coach, I do not have badges and I do not see how players perform in training. I do attend games and will make comments on what I see on occasion. I do not tend not to watch us on tv sat at home (not a dig at anyone because I do watch international rugby sat at home, if I am unable to travel).

I cannot recall the manager we had when a certain section of our fans wanted them gone. I will wait to see who is our next manager/coach is and how long that are here before we hear the same old, ?they have to go.?

We really need to give these people a chance. I think we have had twenty managers/coaches in the last sixte en years. Not a great record is it.
