    I was sitting next to Sam Fisher’s father in the Main Stand at a home game after Sam had been called back from loan at Dunfermline. His father told me that as long as a player is under 24 years old and they have been offered a new contract on the same terms as before or a slight increase in terms then the club can receive a development fee if the player turns down the contract and signs for another club.
