I think he has shown improvement and signs of adaptation in his role throughout the campaign - we're not as stubborn to play out from the back as we were pre Christmas and will go direct when necessary, and last few games he has been more proactive/aggressive with substitutions when compared to the beginning of the season, which I felt at the time was really holding him back.

Yes he's learning on the job, but he's showing his ability to grow/improve in the role and given our league position he's hardly out of his depth.
