    Naive statement
    Correct.
When Nelms sent his ‘message boy’ to the Dee4life board of directors meeting in December 2018 to try to purchase all A shares held by Dee4life on the cheap he told us that Dundee FC might be lucky if they received 20% to 30% of the profits from the restaurants in the new stadium.
He also said that Dundee Football Club would have to ensure that a new lease would have to be nailed down and watertight in case the new stadium was sold to a new owner who might have no interest in football.
A new owner of the stadium would be looking to get their outlay repaid as soon as possible
A poster on the DBF who was present at last Monday night’s meeting stated Nelms said that the income from funeral teas would be ?1.5 million which equates to 6,000 season tickets.
Dundee Football Club do not sell 6,000 season tickets and the ?1.5 million income from funeral teas is not profit.
A friend on Islay who owned a guest house which was open to non residents for evening meals told me that 30% of the cost of a meal is food with the remainder being overheads and profit.
At a Dee4life meeting in October 2018 Bob Hynd told us that Nelms had calculated that he would make ?1,000 per funeral at his new Crematorium and he would be making ?10,000 per day. (10 funerals per day).
I told Bob Hynd that I have some bad news for Nelms.
I had recently received the bill for my father’s cremation service in Dundee Crematorium in August 2018 in error as it should have been sent to the firm of Solicitors dealing with his estate.
The cost of my father’s cremation service at Dundee Crematorium was ?1,100. After all the overheads were deducted and allowing for a 10% net profit resulted in Dundee Crematorium receiving a net profit of ?110.
I have never heard Nelmsy speaking about the ?1,000 profit per funeral service at his Crematorium since then.
Perhaps Nelms thinks that income is total profit.

    Long since been that.

I see it as an arm, nae finger nail of Keyes international.
If Tim Keyes who is bankrolling Dundee Football Club decides to sell his new stadium site then Dundee Football Club be on its own trying to get enough income to balance the books which is not happening at present.
The Dundee Football Club supporters should be exceedingly thankful that Dundee Football Club Limited do not have Dark Blue Property Holdings Limited as their holding company and they are independent of them.

There will be a novelty factor when the new stadium opens but that will soon fall away.
When Meadowbank Thistle FC played their first home game in the Meadowbank Stadium it was a sellout 5,000 attendance but by the end of that season the number of people attending Medowbank Thistle home games had fallen dramatically to from memory about 500.
That is why Meadowbank Thistle moved to Livingston and changed their name to Livingston FC.
