    OT - Transgender footballers

Transgender women will no longer be able to play in women's football in England from 1 June, the Football Association has announced. Thoughts?

For me - another positive step for birth gendered women but will the FA sponsor a Trans League to promote DEI?

I don't know if there would be enough players to make it worthwhile

It's tough for those excluded but I think it's correct

    Yes you are probably right.

I do have concerns that this is getting a lot of coverage since the ruling though which will give the haters tacit consent to target transgendered individuals.

I know I've said it before, and while i am generally in agreement with the decisions, I do feel for those impacted as it must be a traumatising time.

Damned right its correct. A bloke in a wig, with false tits is capable of doing serious damage to a female in a tackle. This nonsense stops now.
They could play in a mens side, with the wig and tits, but they wont do that as they are generally poor compared to the competition anyway.

But if post-operative they won't have the tackle to tackle ....

Well in a mens team, they get the attention they crave then. Not that they'll get much looking at the state of most of them

In any sport that involves physical competition. Perhaps trans can compete in womens chess, I'd accept that

Actually, FIDE, the International Chess Federation stopped that malarkey back in 2023
