Never had a metre, will never have a metre, just send my readings monthly and despite numerous attempts to convince me I’ve never succumbed and they can’t legally make you. I record all my readings on a spreadsheet and calculate monthly what the costs should be against my payments. When they contact me to tell you they’re having to increase my direct debit I call them and explain the facts and they always relent. I know some may see this as a bit sad but it’s my money I’m spending and I need to know if I can reduce it. It’s easy to knock up a spreadsheet and I feel so much more in control and involved, sad or not. ��*♂️
