You are stuck with me. Pay more attention to what I say about players and managers. I haven?t been wrong yet.
We all had a bit of a soft spot for Jimmy Thelin at the start as we done enough to get results in our favour at the start. When the chips are down though he turned into Jimmy Turnip and is getting more found out as the weeks move on.
If we get beat by a poor Dunfermline side it should definitely be the end of the neeps reign as Aberdeen manager. Only the fans who have completely lost drive to care about Aberdeen will want him to stay.
I hope we win tomorrow but pity help this forum if we don?t. I will take great pleasure in debating with anyone about Jimmy Turnip.

    Here`s my guess .
JT has come from a completely different Country, and a majorly different mindset.

Being a bit simple about it, i am assuming that in Sweden people are slightly less hysterical than the Scots.
Or at least in football circles.
He has been selected, chased and eventually recruited by a dtermined suitor who has promised him the time to do things the way he has succesfully done his job in the past. He believes he truly has a 3 year paln and will be given that time to follow it through ?

I also guess that he was absolutely flummoxed the way the first 10-15b games went. As he knew the players he had were not doing it his way very well. But amazingly they just kept winnig....jusy. And often , only just . Remeber he kept saying " They keep finding a way to win " Despite letting every opposition team have loads of posseision and space to make chances . Even Airdrie were made to look good , really good, in their game ?

He certainly wasn`t going to " do a Fergie" and tear a strip off them after they won agame after game, but only just. Probably knowing that many of the players confidence was fragile. Peter Leven could have warned him about that. ?

So , when the luck turned, and those 93rd minute goals stopped winning games, and things slipped, I`m sure he was telling, telling, telling his players all week in training what they still needed to do. Run , chase , harry.......but off thjey trot onto the park, and bleurgh...nada !!

So we`ve seen the mask slip now. He is finally admitting in public, in his mild a cold Swedish way , that they need to " run about a bit" as Barry Robson would have said.

Oh what the hell. I`m rambling. We need a couple of younger players to run about a bit in midfield. And we need more crosses into the box. And a Striker that runs about a lot and can shoot on sight, and on target.

    There. I said it !!

    COYR.
That was a good read min.

That winning run was great, but we were far from great under it. That said, if we didn't have it Thelin would be a goner by now.

I like the fact he comes across so well and sticking to something he is adamant will work for us in the long run.

Hopefully it pays off for Thelin and us watching in the stands.

Thelin made a right mess of this game with his player selection and tactics. I really can’t remember the St.Johnstone goalkeeper having a save today which is absolutely pathetic if we aren’t hitting the back of the net.
MacKenzie is gone….let’s not waste any more time with him on the pitch and use others as he offers absolutely nothing. Same with Okkels, he has been a terrible signing and shouldn’t be near the squad let alone getting game time. He isn’t going to come good as he is what he is.
How many long balls did we insist on playing today….don’t tell me we have Swedens version of Barry Robson.
We also don’t win big games under Thelin. We are struggling along and will continue the rest of the season.
St.Johnstone had a great chance to win today but a good save from Mitov kept us from going behind and losing.
If we can’t trouble the opposition goalkeeper whose team are the bottom of the league then we are in trouble.
He will (Thelin) see out the season but only because the malaise has reached an unprecedented level which means fans accept any cr@p from the team nowadays.
Aberdeen don’t have enough football experience above the managers level and this is why they are being conned consistently. Anyone who can talk a good game gets the gig…it’s not that they were previously winning the top leagues they plied their trade in.
Stop employing nobodies and get real football personnel into this club.
Football is different from any other business….you can’t gamble with so many key positions in a club and hope it comes good.

On another note…anyone know how our younger teams are performing in their leagues?

Hark! Do I detect the sound of attention being sought? I await a Zoomerism vaccine being made available more than I coveted the Covid jab (not ?jag?).

Don?t agree then say so?.it?s not too difficult.

I would love to hear how my above opinion is wrong? Maybe I look at football differently. I definitely have a different attitude from the new type of Aberdeen support as I don?t and won?t give in.
Let me know who at Aberdeen is making a huge difference to the club football wise? Entertain us.
The light were on at the club during the start of the season but for some reason the club itself decided it was too bright and destroyed the lights as the pressure was on.
Aberdeen FC cannot handle pressure. We are run by people who give up. That is the stark reality.

How many defeats is that this season?
Nowhere near acceptable for any Aberdeen manager. Just because the league has a terrible amount of quality in the competition doesn?t mean we should stick by this manager.
We are weak defensively, in midfield and absolutely powderpuff attacking. Don?t tell me we are taking a step in the right direction football wise. Vastly outspending everyone else (except Celtic and Rangers) and the team we watch aren?t a good watch.
After a scudding in the cup final it might register with some that we need yet another change.

Remember the days when you said we could easily get a better manager than McInnes?

4 managers later and you are still moaning about it not being good enough.

Do you not get fed up of making a tit of yourself?

Jeez min. You just can't help yourself. Your just itching for our next defeat to spout your p1sh.

If you can't see any improvement in us this season, you should go and take up another sport to watch on TV, as following fitba isn't for you.
