Dont know what i expected really as i have long believed that the club have been happy with their position since January. Survival was the key, and we essentially achieved that quite a while back, even if the maths said otherwise.

On the game itself, Strain and Traps were utterly anonymous too often today, then Paton and Moult come on and we seem to be down to 8 men! Then there are the 2 defenders who are carrying injuries and looked worse than a shadow of themselves, who were then exposed more and more by some seriously slack play up the park!

Im just getting the feeling again that something just isnt right at our club again, and yes that is being fuelled by rumours elsewhere on the net, and i just hope that some mystery handbook has not been found deep in a drawer somewhere and the owners are taking that as gospel for how to run a club!

The one player I would offer a contract extension to is Docherty. Middleton hasn't delivered and pastures new would suit everyone.

Man of the match today was Jack Walton

A lot of candidates for the worst player

Get the sense something is seriously wrong

We achieved top 6...so the pressure should have been off in regards to playing stuffy football. We should have been playing far more openly and with a bit more belief. Today, St Mirren were 2-0 up and going for a third. We would never have tried that! If we sneaked a goal...we would have tried to hang on.
It's the fans that I am angry for. They have backed the team all season and when the players finally get a chance to reward them...they seem to have given up. The season wasn't over when we got top 6. The fans are paying their money to see a team battle it out and try to win a game....that last 3 performances are a slap in the face for fans. We are being expected to accept mediocrity and that is unacceptable. I have no issue with losing games if we lose them battling. We should be demanding more from our players and management. Survival and top 6 is a massive step forward but we have to keep moving forward...the season is not over but are playing like it is. The mentality that we have just now is a losers mentality and that is dangerous!

St Mirren were no better today than the previous 4 wins we beat them with conceding, they are a very big physical side but we stood upto it and edged the games second half, difference is the squad being weaker has caught up with us

And Ferry as an example sold the jerseys at the first goal, something he wasn't doing before, last week it was Gallagher

Mistakes are creeping in, we are missing badly Holt, Graham and Luca, and some pondering through injuries, some know they are leaving

Didn't want them in the top 6 as couldn't see us winning 5/5, probably only Celtic have done that to a Stephen Robinson side

The fixtures didn't fall kindly and I said focus securing top 5 when I saw the way they had landed, a worst case was them going above us today but can see them beating Hibs midweek and doing just that, only bonus is they are at Celtic on Saturday but we'll need to muster one last back to basics performance to get anything from the sheep, 6th looking likely now

We'd definitely have been in the running for 3rd had we came out of January with the same squad and having not lost Luca early, plus the Dalby goal against Hibs (5th would already be secure) but too many little things have gone the other way

All I'm seeing is you doing what you always do and finding excuses for failure. Jim saying the players are desperate to finish strongly, who's f*cking stopping them? Turn up, give everything for the shirt and play with some f*cking pride. Look up into the stands and see the faces of the people paying your wages and make a f*cking effort, and no more excuses please.

We've maxed out on our talent to get to top 6, and are running on empty now, small and limited squad catching up on us. Name one game all season where we have played well for 90 mins? We've one way of winning games, keep it tight and sneak a goal, only one way of scoring/creating chances - cross into box. Unfortunately it's the down side of making the top 6 if you are bang average, good chance you will get pumped by better teams. They bullied us today, we've stood up to it on the other occasions, Goodwin said himself last week we lack athletic players all over the pitch. We just need to get through this week and pray we recruit well in the summer.

You think we lacked effort today? I genuinely didn't see that. We lack quality. Amount of stray passes, only matter of time before we were punished for giving the ball away.
