We 100% lost the battle in midfield yesterday and I honestly can't believe he's put Sevelj in defence again while Harding is on the bench.

1st goal Walton went down like a zed bed trying to save that and the 2nd goal WTF was Docherty doing? Totally agree with TTT that both Docherty and Sibbald were off it and totally in disbelief that Sevelj wasn't in that midfield from the start.

St Mirren actually impressed me yesterday. Think their transfer remit must be that no one under 6 feet can sign for them lol. They looked more up for it than us and were willing to get the ball down and pass it while all we did was fire long balls up to Dalby.......and don't get me started on they long throw in....ffs United mix it up. We're becoming far too predictable and teams are unfortunately getting wise to how we play.

I don't think it makes a difference if Harding starts and sjvel plays in midfield, we still get dwarfed in midfield, bullied at the back, no left footed outlet with the centre halves, lack creativity and get outplayed. I know we've beat them 4x, but they are probably the better team.

Agree regards the long throws yesterday, ineffectual against a team their size, wasn't working, but we have no ideas in that final third other than to put crosses in. No one seems to want to shoot on edge of box, they just work it wide.

The thing that annoyed me most yesterday were the subs. When it goes 2-0 game over, we weren't scoring, but,, those subs when we are chasing a game do my nut in. What does he hope to achieve by just chucking centre forwards on? We went from making at least a few chances to creating virtually none, and massively increasing their chances. Put something on in midfield, maybe two centre forwards but three forwards with no service is just clueless and like you are out of ideas. Not sure why Paton gets put on ahead moult or even van de sander either.

Since Holt left we have no one to win the long throws into the box. I've no Idea why we are still doing that.

Goodwin mentioned lack of athleticism against Hibs, which I think has been apparent for a long time, wouldn't be surprised to see him go down a bit of the st mirren blueprint. They are full of absolute giants, aligned with some decent technique. We desperately need some pace creativity, it's so predictable in the final third.
