I also know you’ll disappear back into your dark depressing hole if you’re wrong. So I’d much rather stay in Thai’s camp and go into Saturday with optimism as we’ve everything to gain and nothing at all to lose. I hope you’re able to enjoy our victory IF we overcome the odds and manage to win. See you at Wembley?
Reality is knocking so hard it is almost kicking the door in.

We have been garbage for months and he has been going on about how great we are. There is a difference between being optimistic and delusional. We could do it if it wasn't for all the things going against us like, the manager, the players, the tactics, the lack of effort the players have put in since xmas and lastly a desire from the players to try.

It's not about gloating, I will be upset when we lose; if we win, which I can't see happening i will be overjoyed. The difference is I can see when something is wrong and is not working and will call for changes. It seems that Thaipie is happy with any sh it is he served up.

What is your reason for optimism?

Jesus wept didn?t you read the title? I?ve seen over 40 games this season and know all the deficiencies in the squad and the manager but just accept some people can?t be doing with all the gloom 24/7 in the lead up to a massive game, it was alluded to at the start of the post.

You sound like the sort of bloke who tells his own 7 year old kid that there is no such person as Santa.
Just let people dream and hope. We are all going to die one day but it is no use dwelling on it.

Suggestion. Go and start your own thread. Now what could you call it? Pessimists only ... perhaps?

We've a reasonable chance of winning, despite The Gloomsters' protests to the contrary. Nobody knows the result yet, optimist or pessimist, and it's much more fun being an optimist than spending life constantly expecting, if not secretly hoping for, the worst, simply in order to feel they were 'right'.

Having said that, I'll still defend to the end The Gloomsters' right to be negative, miserable b*stards - on their many other threads.

And if we play Walsall next week we will win.
Trying not to go against the title of this thread but have you seen the size of Morias lately ? Those defenders legs would have to be massive !

Ive got a very early start Saturday to get down for 12-30 so dont really have much choice except travel with optimism.

Wimbledon arent great, dont score many goals. With both Didzy and Jatta out we must be forced to play a different way which might be more successful than weve done lately. We have relatively unknown quantities in Jarvis and Traore hopefully playing in their best positions, and a good defence.

    Its Notts, anything might happen!

Robertson makes a surprise return to the starting lineup to partner Palmer in the midfield, freeing Abbott to play further forward.

Young George bags a brace in a man of the match performance, the highlight of an excellent 3-0 win.

    I believe.

    You Pies!

Probably you ought to be defending that right on this one too. Calling someone moron is out of order. Leave that to the likes of Ray Trew.
