The pictures make the mind boggle seeing how much people are rammed into stadiums.

The second volume speaks more about the changes to the stadiums over the years, so some good pictures of Pittodrie with construction works going on. There is also a picture, which I am sure has been seen by many, of a 16 year old girl being carried out of Pittodrie in 1972, with a knife in her head courtesy of a Celtic supporter.
That photo fairly shocked my loon when I showed him it. I told him I nearly got a dart in the head in 1990, by the very same set of supporters. He asked why anyone would have a knife at the fitba, let alone want to throw it.

I still can't get my head around Scotland holding the records for largest attendances in Europe for Internationals, European and Domestic games.
he third volume now done with. Very good reads and some cracking pictures across all three volumes. Covers a whole load of clubs and stadiums.

Another bit of poovery from me in that I don't think I could have endured an uncovered Pittodrie and it would have been even worse back then.

We fitba fans are a spoiled bunch these days.

A little bit of Tannadump. They used to have some sort of small wooden stand back in the 60s, but it wasn't advisable to jump up and down in it due to unsettling the forkies that crawled about the roof timbers and would fall down onto you! Gadz!
