My original point was be optimistic while Notts County had a chance of promotion. It wasn't to be, and Wimbledon deserved to go through. Now is a good time for an end of season inquest.

But please, let's not go through the whole "he's got no plan B" cliches.

Your last sentence is the plain truth, ThaiPie - he has not got Plan B!

Mr Maynard has had ample opportunity to show the vast interior of his tactics truck over the past few weeks when things needed to change.

Instead, we got a variation of a (unsuccessful) theme, which has led to four defeats on the spin at Meadow Lane. Our very *own brand crap*!

Please do not try and convince the world that this approach will magically change over the summer - it will not happen. A phrase involving leopards and spots springs to mind.

Oft-repeated truths inevitably become cliches. If there is a Plan B I've not seen it in the past 18 months or so.

Not defending SM but what would be plan B with this squad? Everyone keeps saying it but what does it look like? Genuine question as it doesn?t jump out at me with this current squad. Also why is our away form so good and our home so bad?

Actually SM has deployed many plans. Forgive me, but I'll call them 1, 2, 3 ect

    1. He's gone longer when the opposition has a high press. 2. He's overloaded targeted areas specific to the opposition. 3. He's varied the corners (not predictably short). There are so many variations, if I was younger, I would write a Thesis on it. It's laughable, fans come on message boards and think they are the font of all wisdom saying "ee's got no plan B" . B for Boring.

Much as I love what the owners have done, I think they need to appraise the strategy. Year 1 in League 2, let's see what the players can do. Year 2, improve the obvious defensive frailties. Good work . Year 3, we've seen what it takes. Let's upgrade, and this will involve difficult personnel decisions
    Over to the board.

Plan b was simply punting the ball forward by Bass. Midfielders didnt move up the park, no one supported whoever was going to get the shove in the back from a defender. The punt was hardly ever over the last defender so there was no chance of running on to it....

Plan b - you make me laugh

And with very few exceptions, how many times have these tactical, masterclasses, actually worked?
