Man marking...that would be worth a shot and (referencing another of your suggestions) we could also stick Morris up front whenever we are defending a corner/free kick which would take a least 1 more body out of our penalty area...after all what the **** is Morris actually doing in our box when we are defending a corner? Imagine we win a dual in the area, launch it and it's a foot race with Shayden and 2 defenders (obviously the scenerio breaks down in the first part of the sentence but in principle it's worth a punt)

Do we honestly think Jimmy will change tactics for this one?

I can't see it myself. Having not having done so all season.

Commendable really, but very frustrating for us fans.

He should have put a player on Wednesday night, not going to be involved in the final and after going three down, with the instruction to finish McGregors season.

I reckon it will be the same team that started yesterday. Possibly Topi coming in, being the only change.

Saturday will be the day Thelinball bears fruit.

Make no bones about it Celtic will destroy us in the final. Every single corner kick they get we are in real trouble because our bigger players are told to defend an area (which they are pathetic at) and this leaves huge responsibility on our smaller players to block runs from opposition players who cut out the sunlight for our timid players.
That is just one of our major weaknesses.
Celtic will definitely destroy us full stop because we are weak all over the pitch.
Brendan Rodgers should resign in shame if Jimmy Turnip and our team outsmart him and lift the trophy.
I normally always believe we have a chance?..even against all the odds. Sorry folks as I just can?t see it this time. Celtic have their name on the cup.
Our club is that weak when facing Celtic that we might just be better not appearing for the final. It believably might be far less shameful than what is in store for us

I cant see Thelin changing his tactics for the final either but even if he did it wouldnt make any difference.

As soon as Celtic put us under any sort of pressure our players will fall to pieces because they have a weak mentality.

There is a real lack of character in the squad. As much of a disaster Warnock was he nailed it on the head when he said the squad wasnt good enough and an overhaul was needed in the summer.

We never did that because it was thought that Thelin would get a tune out of the squad with a few additions in the summer, sadly the start of the season seems to have been a purple patch and just papered over the cracks.

Thing is though that 7 of the starters yesterday were signed since last summer. 3 more were on the bench who all came on second half. Id call that an overhaul - albeit it clearly not enough.

Now Thelin may have had more direct involvement in some of those 10 than others, but he must have been involved.

7 of 11 starters, 10 of the players involved in the game, and all the old failings regarding character, mentality, physicality were there in spades - in fact second half it was as bad as Ive ever seen.

Fundmentally we have a squad wholly unsuited mentally and physically to playing in Scotland. Doesnt matter if thats an indictment of Scottish football (its more an indictment of more poor recruitment by us IMO) you have to be able to play and compete in the environment you are in. We dont and cant.

None of us want a team of big, physical hoofball merchants. Thelin doesnt want a team of big, physical hoofball merchants. We do however, need players who can handle playing and competing against big, physical hoofball merchants.

We have precisely zero of them, and that is a massive failure in management at all levels.

I would say the signings we made in January were all players Thelin wanted.

Im reluctant to criticise them too much because they have just been in the door a few months although im not convinced with Tobers so far. I would say next season is the time to judge them properly.

In the summer I would say that Nilsen was definitely Thelins choice but the rest were possibly recommended to him.

Nilsen seems to be the one player who has the mentality to play against physical teams. He started off well but faded as the season went on possibly due to the fact he came in straight from the Scandinavian league season.

I could see why Thelin wanted to sign him because he was clearly trying to instruct the players on how Thelin was wanted us to play but I noticed a few times at Pittodrie that didnt go down well with a couple of the players.

McKenzie and Dorrington both told him to fvck off on separate occasions, probably due to the fact the younger generation dont like being told off and highlights the issue we have.

I heard that over 1 thousand tickets got returned during these last few games. I thought once you paid for your ticket that was it?..return it all you want but you are not getting your money back.
The sad reality now is you couldn?t pay me to take a ticket for that match. I will watch on the tv and that is enough as it will no doubt get fired off straight after the final whistle.

Aberdeen are needing to find a way for some fans to believe in the club again. Winning the cup and putting up a great fight would be a start. It can be done. Work hard to be rewarded.

Nobody wants to see them get humped but they might not. Its worth going to find out
