Owners move on from projects they don't like too. We have a lot to thank the bros for, but I understand what you are saying. Our transfer strategy of finding young/out of favour gems, selling them on, and finding new gems to replace them was working well for a while. We managed to replace Wootton with Langstaff and Rodrigues with Crowley. But it's a tricky strategy to maintain. I think for the first time since the bros took charge, that strategy has resulted in our team being weaker. Selling your best, most creative player in the middle of a promotion campaign to a L2 rival isn't what teams that are serious about promotion do. I know he wanted away, but you also have to ask why.

Perhaps the bros need to be more upfront about the club's priorities and aims. If the primary aim is financial stability and breaking even, that's great, but if that means L2 stagnation then fans will eventually drift away. The club still has some momentum, but its fading.

I like what the bros are trying to do. I don't agree with the style of football, simply because I don't think it's effective or even entertaining to watch most of the time. Still, I admire that they have given us an identity and a sense of stability and continuity. But if we are serious about progression on the pitch, there will surely come a time when we need to keep our best players - like all the other promotion contenders do - and buy top players off other clubs as well. Ultimately, we'd be playing in L1 next season if we'd kept Langstaff, Nemane, and Crowley.

Big summer coming up.
