Some valid questions raised in the OP, though.

What?s interesting is the talk of stagnation when we have clearly progressed based solely on league position (from 14th to 6th).

The problem is what we?re witnessing: lack of entertaining football on the pitch under SM and selling our prime assets at the expense of the team. That does send out a negative message to supporters: we are prioritising finances over promotion. That?s understandable, obviously, but the owners should perhaps clarify how they see us progressing if they are to maintain the same philosophy of having a ?competitive budget? despite us presumably being the best supported club in the division next season.

Do you think we will be the best supported club next season? With how we have played recently and the lack of passion in the team, looks like Maynard will be in charge! No statement from the Bros on their intentions I can see us back to the diehard 5000 !!

Maddogslater - may I ask what supporters are if they are not customers? I am genuinely interested in your answer.

Clearly, we all have a strong emotional tie to the club, but we also all pay to attend matches and buy merchandise/club subscriptions and the like. Surely that makes us consumers?

We've already shifted 5,600 Season tickets but I do think crowds will start to drop off next season. A lot of people simply won't tolerate another season in this crap division. I expect it to start at 9,000 and then drop to 8,000 or even 7,500 which would still be good but what's the point if we don';t have a good budget.

But surely the manager brings in his own assistants/coaches etc, you don't just force people onto them or advertise. Remember when Jamie Fullarton actually advertised for assistants and Moniz had his forced on him.
Still don't get why we didn't just get Jim O Brien back even temporarily.
