I also expect tomorrow will be the retained / released / available to transfer announcements.
Under previous regimes I think any manager/head coach departure announcement would have been pretty immediate, but the brothers are well known for being patient and thinking things through very carefully before making a decision, so I think the timeframe for such things under them is slightly longer, but obviously there has to be a cut-off point.

As soon as the legendary 2pm press conference had passed, I became resigned to more Maynardball.

Maybe the P45 is arriving by monorail?

Why did the Saunders go? When they came S M he said the whole management team was on the same wavelength. What changed ? Was there a big fall out, why no replacements? Did we try to get replacements if not why? Did no one fancy working with S M because he is crap and did not want any involvement with his failure to spoil their chances of getting a decent job in future?

Just maybe the owners think that SM got us into this mess so he can be the one to issue the retained list and tell players we're not keeping them. It would be a bit harsh for the new man to get that job.

I wish I could convince myself that was true, but I think our owners are very easily pleased and he still stay. Can we have middle-ground owners who are not too nice but don't get their cocks out?

That job sits with the new Italian guy.

Maynard isn?t manager he is head coach so the new bloke needs to do or perhaps we could bring Mr Smug back from Swansea to tell them after all he signed them all

It's too far, the players would have to go there to get the news

I think if we don't hear anything this week, he's staying.

The owners have always issued a statement at the end of the season giving their general views on it, until we?ve had that then all options are open. Either that will be a gentle thank you and goodbye, or if it isn?t then he?ll be staying.
