On the subject of asbestos, I worked on the pioneer Vitrifix project, which was/is a method of safely destroying asbestos. We installed the kit at Faslane submarine base in the 80?s where they were cutting up old subs lined with the stuff.

Remember clambering on dust covered asbestos pipes 45 years ago in a power station whilst an apprentice installing new flow monitoring equipment.
Totally unaware of the hazards it posed back then and occasionally as upon reading references to it like this wonder if this might catch up with me one day.
It’s always there in the back of the mind.
