It would also be interesting to know what influence the Burnley and Mexico connections had on his decisions.
The manager can only sign the players depending on funds he is given by Nelms for his playing budget.
Interestingly Tony Docherty had to get rid of Curtis Main to free up funds to sign Donnelly.
Normally the owners/directors of football clubs provide extra funds at the January transfer window to sign suitable players for the remainder of the season.
Tim Keyes does not appear to have provided extra funds for Tony Docherty during the January 2025 transfer window.
Nelms and/or Keyes should be explaining if they really want Dundee FC to be a Premier League Club and they should be explaining why they sacked Gary Bowyer after winning the Championship in May 2023 and Tony Docherty the day after the Dundee FC team managed to finish in 10th place at the end of this season securing Premier League status for next season despite selling our best player Luke McCowan just before the Summer 2024 transfer window closed.
Mr Nelms. Forget about your new stadium development at Campy Nou and spend the money giving the manager the ability to put the best available team on the Dens Park pitch.
