Yeah, I know it's all click bait. I don't mind interesting click bait in which they've done some leg work, put together some stats and data that would kind of make some sense.

However, how it works with alot of these groups of papers, The Chronical is owned by 'The Reach group'.

Reach plc (known as Trinity Mirror between 1999 and 2018) is a British newspaper, magazine and digital publisher. It is one of the UK's biggest newspaper groups, publishing 240 regional papers in addition to the national Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Sunday People, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Star Sunday as well as the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail and the magazine OK! Since purchasing Local World, it has gained 83 print publications.

So, some muppet hack in one of their local or national offices makes up a fake story about a transfer, then all the local drone reporters, like done ants regurgitate the same story over and over.

That's not journalism that barely creative writing. Reach Plc is an advertising company, it's revenue is garnished from the advertisements placed in it's print and online media. The stories are filler between the ads.

Once upon a time it was 'todays news is tomorrows chip papers'. Nowadays it's '11am's news is a fictional story.'
