Understand Notts County will announce the managerial appointment of Frank Hayes in the coming days. Formerly a coach at Aldershot Town and more recently Huddersfield Town. Looking for his first head coach role he meets the footballing criteria Notts County want.

Frank Hayes was the first dead person to win a horse race. He died due to heart attack shortly before the finish line .

That should give the more gifted players a greater freedom to express themselves . Training sessions may be a bit flat though

Frank was also an excellent middle order batsman for Lancashire & Engand
