He lives in Swansea, and for family reasons alone, the move made sense, even though it was frustrating...

The WBA drama while at Swansea probably does have some legs... but if he did come back to Notts I imagine it will probably humble him a bit.

I'd have him back, as long as he bought a house here haha!
I don't really care that he left for Swansea, the thing I made a point of is that in under a year he did try to leave for WBA after joining them, it's not a great look.

I don't think we can take this board as representative of the fan base. I would be quite happy to take Williams back. He would have been a fool not to give Swansea a go when they came knocking.

Was it a swift sacking though? If it was based on the run in, that's at least a couple of months. Not sure what would have happened had we somehow squeezed through the play-offs. The comments on the statement would still have been correct about performances and results.

I think it's more he wanted out of Swansea. Look at his recent interview in the Football League Paper, basically was sold a tale by the chairman who was having a power battle with other board members who didn't want him. Montague I think may also come a cropper there as well by the sounds of it

I can?t believe that someone doesn?t know that a smiley face emoji shows that the post was a joke!!!

I didn't know that, and if that's the case then fair play to him.

Its a no from me. As much as I hate the fact that every Notts corner doesn't currently get past the first man (solution, which is not rocket surgery, is to either change the corner taker or put a Notts player on the front post to flick on) I wouldn't be able to cope with watching every corner we have being a short corner ultimately ending up back at our goalkeeper again.

As much as we have lots to thank LW for in getting us back in the football league, I do recall quite a few of us fans disappointed in the style of football being played at the end of his tenure and the mistakes being made by the players on a weekly basis. Something that LW should have sorted out, but didn't, through training and player coaching.

It will be a fairly (very?) small market, subject to change with the odd ?10/20 that gets thrown on, but I'm a little concerned that someone has specifically requested BetVictor that Joao Alves to be added to the list. Let's hope it's one of the Reedtz have done it to throw people off the scent, eh.

    I'd welcome him back.

All the stuff about Allardyce, people should maybe think they've only ever heard one person's version of events. Doesnt mean it's the whole truth....
It's weird isn't it... why are managers expected to show endless "loyalty" to their club when the first whiff of failure they'll be unceremoniously dumped?

Not to mention getting a new job higher up the pyramid while you're on contract means your club gets a payout, generally, instead of having to pay you out when they sack you.

In my career I mostly advanced by changing jobs/organisations, it's only a fast growing company that usually has room for promotions within. Unless you're willing to wait years? Maybe everyone on this board worked a different industry...

Nottingham is a chit hole to be fair.

I don't often agree with you Durham but on this occasion.....
